This secure online service gives applicants, residents and landlords a simpler way to connect with NRHA anytime, anywhere. By bringing key services together in one place, RentCafé helps make housing services more transparent, efficient and user-friendly.

What you can do in the portal

Applicants: Apply for housing waitlists, check application status and update your contact information.

Residents (Public Housing & Affordable Tax Credit): Pay rent online, view payment history, submit service requests and contact your property manager or housing specialist.

Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) / Section 8 Participants:
Use RentCafé for application and waitlist purposes only (apply, check status, update contact information). The rent payment feature is available only for Public Housing and Affordable Tax Credit residents. HCV/Section 8 rent and subsidy arrangements continue to be handled directly between the landlord, the resident and NRHA’s HCV Division. Maintenance requests for HCV households should be made with your landlord per your lease.

Landlords: View your ledger, see inspection results, contact your housing specialist and submit annual recertification documents.
