Michael has been with NRHA since 1985. A Hampton Roads native, he joined the Authority upon graduating with a degree in business management from Hampton University and has been working with NRHA development projects ever since, starting as an Rehabilitation Project Assistant and moving on to serve as a Rehabilitation Project Specialist, Neighborhood Conservation Specialist, Senior Real Estate Development Specialist, Neighborhood Services Director, Real Estate Services Director, Development Operations Director and Deputy Executive Director of Operations.
Michael had retired in May of 2025 and left behind a legacy of professionalism, integrity, and service. But, when NRHA needed experienced leadership and a familiar, trusted presence, he answered the call — once again stepping up to serve as Interim Executive Director.
I enjoy that this job allows me to create quality housing at multiple price points that not only appeals to prospective homebuyers but also complements the architectural character of the Norfolk neighborhoods in which we live and work.
This New Orleans Saints fan unwinds by watching football or serving up tunes throughout Hampton Roads. He plays guitar with the Michael Clark Band.
