
Norfolk, VA (Jan. 27, 2025) – For a limited time only, Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (NRHA) is opening its Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) waitlist for the following applicants: Non-elderly applicants with disabilities who are transitioning out of an institutional or another separated setting, or who are at serious risk of institutionalization, currently homeless or at risk of being homeless. The waitlist will open Monday, Feb. 3 at 9 a.m. and close Mon., March 3, at 4 p.m.
The HCV program is a rental assisted program that assists extremely low income and very low-income families with their rent in the private market. Applications will be accepted online only at www.nrha.myhousing.com. Applicants for this waitlist may qualify if their income is 50% of the AMI and current residents of an assisted housing community may qualify if their income is up to 80% of the AMI.
